Educational Scholarship

Purpose:  It is a goal of the Ingham County Farm Bureau to support the industry of Agriculture, including the education of youth for future careers in our industry.  Therefore, the Ingham County Farm Bureau will sponsor 2 - $1,000 scholarships each year. 

Required Documentation:

  • Scholarship application must be filled out completely.
  • Letter of Recommendation from your current or past 4-H Leader or FFA Advisor. 
  • A typewritten page explaining: Why you chose your (intended or current) major or (intended or current) program and how you plan to use your education after you graduate.

Award Procedures:

  • Applicants must submit their application to Ingham County Farm Bureau, Scholarship Committee, 700 W. Ash St., Ste C, Mason, MI  48854, along with a letter of recommendation and the typewritten page explaining why you chose your major or program by May 31, 2020.  (Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.)
  • The awards will be presented at the Ingham County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting September 09, 2020.  Scholarship winner will be informed by August 31, 2020.

Eligibility
Eligibility: 1. Applicant must be from Ingham County and an active or past 4-H or FFA member. 2. Applicant must be a High School Senior or a College Freshman. 3. Applicant must be pursuing a 2 or 4 year certificate or degree program in an agricultural related field. 4. Applicant must possess the qualities of leadership and community service. Required documentation: 1. Scholarship application must be filled out completely. 2. Letter of Recommendation from your current or past 4-H Leader or FFA Advisor. 3. A typewritten page explaining: Why you chose your (intended or current) major or (intended or current) program and how you plan to use your education after you graduate.
